Commercial rewire: three Leeds sites

3 messages · Daniel Okafor, Priya Raman

PRPriya Raman2Tue 09:14

Following our call, here is the rewire schedule for the three Leeds sites, with the compliance certificates attached.

DODaniel OkaforTue 16:42

Thanks Priya. My co-director wants to see the phasing before we sign. Could you send the second-quarter option too?

PRPriya Raman1Wed 08:02

Of course, both options are in the revised quote. I have provisionally held the crew for w/c 8 September.

The problem with email

The quote is in someone's sent items.

Every service business has lost a job this way. Not because nobody sent the quote, but because nobody else could see that it had been sent, or what it said.

Threaded to the record

Every message is attached to the lead and the deal it concerns, automatically, as it is sent and as it arrives.

Visible to the team

Anyone in the workspace can pick up the thread. Holidays and handovers stop being a reason to lose a job.

Your name on it

Per-member signatures, so replies go out from a person rather than from an inbox nobody recognises.

Writing it, and chasing it

A real editor, your signature, and a follow-up that knows when to stop.

Formatting that survives the send, attachments listed with their sizes, and the signature rendered in front of you rather than appearing after the fact. A quote left unanswered is not a no, so a short sequence chases it over a fortnight and stops the instant someone replies.

  • Rich formatting, links and lists, with the HTML sanitised on the way in and out
  • Per-member signatures, previewed in the composer rather than after sending
  • Recipient addresses carrying their verification status
  • Sequences that send under the owner's name and stop on the first reply
  • The deal it is logged against stated before you press send

ReCommercial rewire: phased pricing, both options
Priya at NorthwindAttach

Hi Daniel,

As promised, here is the rewire schedule split across two quarters, with the single-phase option kept alongside it so your co-director can compare the two side by side. The compliance certificates for all three sites are attached.

I have provisionally held the crew for the week commencing 8 September. That hold lasts a fortnight, so there is no rush on your side this week.

What was said on the call becomes what gets sent.

A call ends with a summary and a promise. The draft is already threaded against the deal with that promise in it, waiting for you to check it. You send it, the deal moves, and the task clears.

  • Drafts written from what the call actually covered
  • Offered as a proposal, so nothing goes out unread
  • Sending moves the deal on and clears the task
  • The next person sees the whole sequence of events

Deals at risk this week

Which deals are at risk this week, and why?

Three deals need you today.

Rowan Tree Landscaping [S1] has had no reply for twelve days and its close date passed on Tuesday. The last thing sent was the estate grounds quote at $12,900.

Ashcombe Removals [S2] has been idle for eleven days. The only contact attempt since the search was a call nobody answered.

Northgate Electrical [S3] is live but waiting: the co-director asked for phased pricing on Tuesday and nothing has gone back.

Awaiting reply

A folder for everything you are waiting on, so chasing is a five-minute job rather than a memory test.

Send from anywhere

Reply from the record, the deal or the thread. It is the same message and the same log either way.

Unread that means something

The count in the sidebar is work waiting, not an alarm, so it is coloured as such, and it goes down as you read.

Questions answered

About email and sequences.

Does it replace my email?

No. You connect the mailbox you already use, and messages continue to arrive there. What Bloc CRM adds is the thread appearing against the lead or deal it concerns, so the conversation is visible to the team rather than sitting in one person's inbox.

Can each person have their own signature?

Yes. Signatures are per member within the workspace, so a reply sent by one of your engineers goes out under their name and the business's branding rather than a generic account.

What is a sequence?

A short series of follow-ups sent on a schedule you set, most often for quotes that have gone quiet. It stops automatically the moment the recipient replies, which is the part that matters: nothing is more damaging than a chaser arriving after someone has already said yes.

Will my team see each other's emails?

Within the workspace, yes, and that is the point. When someone is on holiday or leaves, the conversation stays with the deal rather than going with them. Visibility stops at the workspace boundary and never extends to another workspace.

Does it handle attachments?

Yes, including quotes and certificates, and they stay attached to the record so the next person can find the version that was actually sent.

Get the quotes out of sent items.

Connect a mailbox and watch the next thread land on the deal where the rest of your team can see it.
