1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. This policy also covers similar technologies (local storage, session storage and pixels) because the law treats them the same way and so should we.
2. How we ask for consent
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the UK GDPR, anything beyond strictly necessary storage needs your consent. So:
- Nothing optional is set before you decide. Not on first load, not while the banner is open.
- Reject all sits beside Accept all with the same visual weight. A reject button that is harder to find than the accept button is not a free choice.
- You can accept some categories and refuse others, and refusing costs you nothing but the feature that category provides.
- Withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it: one page, one switch, no email required.
- We record when you decided, so we can show that consent was given.

3. The categories we use

4. Strictly necessary
These make the site and the application function. They are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering a service you have asked for, and cannot be switched off.

5. Preferences
These remember choices you have made so the site behaves the way you left it. Refusing them means those choices reset each visit.

6. Analytics
These count visits and page views in aggregate so we can tell which pages help people and which confuse them. We use privacy-respecting measurement: no profile is built about you, and you are not followed to other websites. The data is aggregated and is never sold.

7. Marketing
These let us tell whether someone who arrived from an advertisement went on to start a trial, and stop us showing the same advertisement repeatedly. They may be set by our advertising partners and can be used to build a profile of your interests. They stay off unless you switch them on.

8. Inside the application
Once you are signed in to a workspace, the application sets only strictly necessary storage: your session, your active workspace, and interface state such as whether the sidebar is collapsed. There is no advertising or third-party tracking inside the product.
9. Changing your mind
Go to cookie settings, move the switches, and save. The change takes effect immediately, and anything you have turned off stops being used from that moment.
You can also clear the decision entirely, which brings the banner back the next time you visit.
10. Browser controls
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most offer a setting to reject third-party cookies outright. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site working, including signing in.
We also honour Global Privacy Control where your browser sends it: if the signal is present, optional categories stay off unless you explicitly turn them on here.
11. Changes
If we add or remove a cookie, this page is updated and the consent record is reset. A consent given for one set of cookies cannot cover a different one. That means you may be asked again after a change, which is deliberate.
